Placement Openings

  • 3 MFT Post-Grad (graduating May-Aug, 2022) or 2nd Year Trainee Positions
  • 20-24 hours per week. Required days are Tuesdays 9AM -2PM, and Wednesdays 9AM – 12 PM
  • There is a minimum of 4 hours of supervision and training-related meetings each week: 1 hour individual supervision, 2 hours Group Supervision (which includes case consultation), and 1 hour Special Topics Seminar

Program Description

East Contra Costa County is very diverse and includes many socioeconomic groups and cultural and ethnic populations. The area served in this region extends from Bay Point to Discovery Bay. The clinic primarily serves children (5-18 y.o.) and their families with Medi-Cal insurance. Children have moderate to severe emotional difficulties which impact them in home, school, and community settings. Interns can expect to provide individual and family therapy, do intake assessments, participate in group supervision and individual supervision, and coordinate care with our own internal/county programs (such as Wraparound and TBS) as well as with community agencies, Child & Family Services, Schools, Probation Officers, Public Health, and others.
